Butterscotch Sauce
1 cup packed dark brown sugar
2/3 cup light corn syrup
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon cornstarch
Boil sugar, corn syrup and butter in saucepan. Bring to 223 degrees. Mix
cream and milk with cornstarch. Add to syrup. Mix until smooth over lower
heat. Sauce will thicken as it cools.
Makes enough for 4 sundaes
