      Buffalo Wings

      Ingredients
12 chicken wings (about 2 pounds)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
3 tablespoons bottled hot pepper sauce
      2 teaspoons paprika
      1/4 teaspoon salt
      1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
      1 recipe Ranch Dressing
      Celery sticks (optional)
For mild ones, I omit the hot pepper sauce & cayenne pepper and use 3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce. And follow the rest of the recipe as usual.

      Directions
      1. Cut off and discard tips of chicken wings. Cut wings at joints to form 24 pieces. Place chicken wing pieces in a resealable plastic bag set in a shallow dish.

      2. For marinade, stir together melted butter, hot pepper sauce, paprika, salt, and cayenne pepper. Pour over chicken wings; seal bag. Marinate at room temperature for 30 minutes. Drain; discard marinade.

      3. Place the chicken wing pieces on the unheated rack of a broiler pan. Broil 4 to 5 inches from the heat about 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Turn chicken wings. Broil for 10 to 15 minutes more or until chicken is tender and no longer pink. Serve with Ranch Dressing and if desired, celery sticks.

      4. Makes 12 appetizer servings

I just love these. Started making them at home some years ago when the prices at the restaurants started getting way too high. Do you make raw fries to go with them ????

JoAnn, a lot of restaurants around here serve these with the celery and dip and raw fries (thinnly sliced potatoes fried, homemade potato chips I guess) as an entree item rather than just an appetizer. We used to go out for suppers and have that. Just wondering if you do these as meals sometimes and what you add with them for a meal. The recipe sounds great and much better than the bottled sauce I use and tweek up. I will be trying it. Thanks for the posting.

I really thought you meant raw potatoes.
I usually serve these with French Fries and raw veggies like celery, carrots and mushrooms. Very good as a main meat dish. And really a cheaper meal too.
