I am in the same boat. I just started a job in August and on the first day of work…surprise, we only get paid once a month!! This came as a shock to me and really caught me off guard.
I was not working prior to this and while I got a small paycheck three weeks after I started, I had to wait another entire month before I got a “true” paycheck – I am an hourly employee. My biggest problem is that while I am caught up now in August and September, I am going back into debt for October. When I was not working I spent maybe $40 every two weeks in gas, now its $50-75 a WEEK in gas plus $100 a week in daycare that we didn’t have before.
That is a lot of money to shell out before getting paid. I don’t have any words of wisdom, I am hoping that things even themselves out eventually though….I am thinking of taking on a secondjob and/or have been looking for a job closer to home but after
looking for thefour months, this was the only job I had an offer on. My guess would be to really watch where your money goes and try hard to not overspend if at all possible and get further into debt.
