Jeanette I can feel you pain. First thing you need to do is to write
down all your expenses:house payment, electric, gas, water, cable tv,
cell phone, activities for the kids or yourself and husband,
internet, car insurance, life insurance, house insurance, taxes,
credit cards, car payments and so on. you also need to estimate
other areas you spend money: food, clothes, gas, eating out, and any
other areas you spend money on.
you must be totally honest with
next you need to look at your income. do you have more money going
out then coming in or are you in the black so to speak? if you have
a negative each month you have to see where you can either earn more
or cut back.
put in order a list of the most important things to pay
first such as: house payment, electric, phone (not cell phone),
water and so on.
now look at the luxuries: cell phone, cable tv, eating out and
decide what you can get rid of/turn off to bring yourself out of the
red and back into the black.
this is some homeowrk to get your started. good luck. kim in mi
