Also think about having your wedding and reception at someone’s home or a nice restuarant as opposed to church wedding with all the bells and whistles. Invite only a small amount of people or think about having your wedding and reception in your local park. Ask friends or family to help with decorations, baloons and streammers on trees. Also try theknot.com for ideas. It helped me.

Depending on timing, leaves, fall fruits and vegetables are a cheap
solutions to centerpieces. Fake wedding cake, styrofoam “cake” with a
spot cut out and filled with cake for the cake cut, covered in icing
and decorated. Then use sheet cake in for guests or cupcakes. I have
also seen donuts used and it is much cheaper then fancy cake (if you
know anyone good at cake decorating here is a good place to save

money.) Also thrift stores, we are planning my sister-in-laws wedding
(on no budget) and we found a box of candle holders for $5. And garage
sales, if you know anyone a least bit crafty, you can find all kinds of
stuff to use for a wedding. Also try your local freecycle. It is a
website dedicated to those who want to keep stuff out of landfills and
you can post what you are looking for and if anyone has anything they
offer it if you come pick it up. You need to read the rules and
regulations for each group to make sure you comply but I have been
blessed with our local groups, these people are very generous and
      giving. Hope this helps,
