      Brown Sugar Bacon by Budget101.com

      Brown Sugar Bacon

12 to 16 ounces bacon, thick sliced
      4 tablespoons brown sugar
      2 tablespoons maple syrup

      Heat the oven to 350°.

Line a rimmed jelly roll pan, half sheet pan, or roasting pan with foil. The pan should be large enough to hold a large cake cooling rack. Place a large cooling rack in the pan and brush a little vegetable oil over the rack. Or spray the rack with vegetable oil cooking spray.

Lay the bacon strips over the rack, overlapping slightly if necessary.

Combine the brown sugar and maple syrup in a bowl or small saucepan. Heat just until warm (stovetop or microwave). Brush the warmed sugar mixture over the bacon strips.

Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 min, or until nicely browned and slightly crisp.

Serve the sweet brown sugar bacon with pancakes or French toast, or use the bacon as a topping for burgers or appetizers.  Serves 6-8

      Maple Brown Sugar Candied Bacon

Copycat Dunkin Donuts Brown Sugar Bacon

If you’d like your bacon to taste just like Dunkin Donuts bacon, you’ll want to use SMOKED bacon, preferably CHERRYWOOD Smoked bacon. You can also take a small piece of cherry wood, soak it in water overnight, then place it in a piece of foil, loosely covered. Place this in the oven while the bacon cooks (as listed below).

12 to 16 ounces SMOKED bacon, thick sliced
      4 tablespoons brown sugar
      1 tablespoon maple syrup
      Freshly Ground Black Pepper

      Heat the oven to 350°.

Line a rimmed jelly roll pan, half sheet pan, or roasting pan with foil. The pan should be large enough to hold a large cake cooling rack. Place a large cooling rack in the pan then spray it liberally with non-stick cooking spray.

Lay the bacon strips over the rack, overlapping slightly if necessary.

Combine the brown sugar and maple syrup in a bowl or small saucepan. Heat just until warm (stovetop or microwave). Brush the warmed sugar mixture over the bacon strips. Sprinkle with freshly ground black telicherry pepper (liberally!!).

Bake the bacon in the preheated oven for about 30 to 35 min, or until nicely browned and slightly crisp.

Serve the sweet brown sugar bacon with pancakes or French toast, or use the bacon as a topping for burgers or appetizers.  Serves 6-8
