I agree! In HS I had a car (paid for by my parents), but I wasn’t
allowed to work during the school year (I could babysit occasionally).
I had to pay for all the maintenance myself – go figure. The only
money I had was my lunch money and I was only making $2/hr. keeping 3
kids on the weekends. I had to make a $300 repair on my car so I
stopped eating lunch and packing something after my parents went to
work. I saved up $150 and then asked them to pay for the rest b/c I
couldn’t keep not eating.
Never did understand my parents!
