      Blueberry Liqueur

      2 cups fresh blueberries
      1 cup sugar
      1/2 cup brandy
      3/4 cup light corn syrup
      1 tsp. lemon zest
      1 tbsp. fresh lemon juice

      Place berries in a clean 2 quart jar and add sugar. Crush berries with
      wooden spoon and let stand for 1 hour. Add vodka and brandy, tightly cap
      and shake vigorously. Add syrup, lemon zest and juice.

      Cover and let stand in a cool dark place for 2 weeks. Use a fine mesh
      strainer to strain out solids. Discard. Transfer liqueur to clean
      container and let stand for 1 week. Rack or filter into final container.
      Age for 1 month more before serving.

      Makes approximately 1 quart.
