1 large can crushed pineapple, with juice
3 c fresh blueberries
3/4 c sugar
1 box yellow cake mix
1 c butter, melted
1 c pecans, coarsely choppedMelt 1 tbs butter in a 10″ or 12″ Dutch oven. Add pineapple with juice and blueberries, cover with sugar and top with cake mix. Add ingredients in that order and do not stir!
Oven Directions: Bake in 9″ x 13″ baking dish at 350 for approximately one hour.

Hmmm- I have some blueberries in the fridge, I’ll have to go se if I have a can of pineapple…great idea. My husband is going to “fish camp” this afternoon and I could send it with him.

You can also do this with cans of cherry pie filling and a choc cake instead (of the pineapple/blueberries). They’re easy to carry with you and it makes a wonderfully rich dessert.

Not much into camping but this sounds delicious. So glad you put the oven directions there too. Think I’ll try this soon.
