This recipe requires on extra step with the bacon… BBQ Beans 1 28-32 oz cans pork and beans 3/4 to 1 cup brown sugar 1 cup chopped onion 1 lg. bell pepper, chopped 1 lb. bacon 1 regular size bottle Barbecue sauce (your choice of brand;-]) Empty beans into slow cooker.
Add brown sugar, onions, pepper and barbecue sauce. Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper to remove excess grease.
Cut into small pieces and add to bean mixture. Cook on LOW for 2 to 4 hours. Serves 8 to 10.
