Basil Buttered Beans
2 cups fresh green beans — cut into 2-inch pieces
2 tbs onion, chopped
2 tbs celery, chopped
1/4 cup water
2 tbs butter, melted
1/2 tsp basil
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
In a saucepan, combine beans, onion, celery and water. Cover and cook for 5 minutes or until beans are tender. Drain. Add the butter, basil, salt and pepper. stir to coat. Serve immediately. 2 servings = about 105 calories

Can hardly wait till the first crop of green beans to come in. This recipe sounds good…

great! be sure to watch the time and only cook them the 5 minutes — don’t want them mushy (unless you like them that way and then you can ignore my comment;->) my garden is not doing well as my puppy insists on destroying everything! the only thing she stays away from are the jalapeno and lemon balm!
