My daughter found a similar idea on the internet for a generic doll in a box. We just personalized it to Barbie. It really was simple to make using 2 cardboard boxes taped together to get the length. I used clear tablecloth plastic for the front. We decorated the box with pink wrapping paper and used construction paper to decorate with Birthday themes. We were able to find a white frilly dress that we dyed pink and added a blond wig and Birthday sash to complete the Birthday theme. It is hard to see but we also glued a comb to the back of the box for an accessory. We used handles inside the box for her to hold onto to hold the box up in place. The sides of the box were decorated with balloons made of construction paper and the back was decorated with a construction paper birthday cake.
