Baked Barbecued Round Steak 1 to 1 1/2 pounds round steak, about 1/2 inch thick, cut in serving size pieces 2/3 cup flour 1 tsp seasoned salt 1/4 tsp pepper 2 tbs vegetable oil 1 cup chopped onion 2 tbs vinegar 2 tbs brown sugar 1 tbs Worcestershire sauce 3/4 cup chili sauce 1/4 cup water 1 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper 1/4 tsp chili powder Combine flour, seasoned salt, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Pound into the steak with a meat mallet. Heat vegetable oil in skillet over medium heat. Sear the meat on both sides. Place steaks in a baking dish. Combine remaining ingredients. Pour over meat. Cover and bake at 325° for 1 hour, until tender. Uncover for the last 15 minutes of baking. Serves 4 to 6.
