      amazing mexican lasagna

      prep time: 15 minutes

      Cook Time: 35 minutes

      Serves: 8


      1-1/2 lbs. lean ground beef or ground turkey

      1 package (1 oz.) Taco Spices & Seasonings

      1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz.) Ragu Old World Style Traditional Pasta Sauce

      1 can (4 oz.) diced green chiles, undrained

      1 can (2.25 oz.) sliced black olives, drained

      1 cup (8 oz.) low fat ricotta cheese

      2 large eggs, beaten

      4 Flour Tortillas – burrito size

      2-1/2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese (about 10 oz.)


      1. Preheat oven to 350°.

      2. In 12-inch skillet, brown ground beef. Stir in Lawry’s Taco

      Spices & Seasonings, Pasta Sauce and chiles. Bring to a boil over

      medium-high heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in

      1/2 of the olives.

      3. In small bowl, combine ricotta cheese with eggs. In bottom of 13

      x 9-inch baking dish sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, arrange 2

      tortillas. Top with 1/2 of the meat mixture, then 2 tortillas, then

      1/2 of the ricotta cheese mixture, then 1/2 of the Jack cheese.

      Repeat, ending with Jack cheese. Sprinkle with remaining olives. Bake

      20 minutes or until heated through. Let stand 10 minutes before

      1 medium onion, chopped

      1 ounce pepperoni or salami, cut into small pieces (about 1/3 cup)

      1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder With Parsley

      1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves, crushed

      1 envelope Lipton Soup Secrets Noodle Soup Mix with Real Chicken


      3 cups water

      2 Tbsp. tomato paste

      1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 ounces)


      1. In medium saucepan, cook onion, pepperoni, Garlic Powder and

      oregano over medium-high heat, stirring frequently, 3 minutes or

      until onion is tender. Stir in Lipton Soup Secrets Noodle Soup Mix

      with Real Chicken Broth, water and tomato paste. Bring to a boil over

      high heat. Reduce heat and simmer uncovered, stirring occasionally, 5

      minutes. To serve, sprinkle with cheese.

      2. microwave directions: in 2-quart microwave-safe casserole,

      microwave onion, pepperoni, Garlic Powder and oregano at HIGH 2

      minutes. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese. Microwave

      uncovered 10 minutes, stirring once. Sprinkle as above.


      southern-style cobb salad

      prep time: 20 minutes

      Cook Time: 20 minutes

      Serves: 6


      1/4 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar

      1/2 tsp. Seasoned Salt

      8 ounces bacon

      3 quarts coarsely chopped iceberg or romaine lettuce

      1 can (15-1/2 oz.) black-eyed peas, rinsed and drained

      1 can (11 oz.) whole kernel corn, drained

      2 medium tomatoes, chopped

      1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (about 4 oz.)

      Crusted Chicken*, sliced

      1 cup your favorite Wish-Bone Dressing


      1. In shallow dish, combine brown sugar with Lawry’s Seasoned Salt.

      Evenly coat bacon with Seasoned Salt mixture. In shallow microwave-

      safe dish, arrange bacon. Microwave at HIGH, turning once, 7 minutes

      or until crisp; crumble and set aside.

      2. On large shallow serving platter, arrange greens. Evenly top with

      candied bacon and remaining ingredients, arranging in rows. Just

      before serving, drizzle with Dressing.


      caribbean grilled shrimp cakes with creamy citrus aioli

      prep time: 25 minutes

      Marinate Time: 30 minutes

      Cook Time: 10 minutes


      1/2 cup Caribbean Jerk Marinade With Papaya Juice

      2 lbs. uncooked large shrimp, peeled and deveined

      1 small red bell pepper, finely chopped

      2 eggs, slightly beaten

      1/4 cup sliced green onions

      1 tsp. Garlic Salt

      About 1-1/2 cups plain dry bread crumbs

      1-1/4 cups Real Mayonnaise

      1/4 cup orange juice

      1 Tbsp. lime juice

      1 tsp. grated orange peel

      2 Tbsp. vegetable oil


      1. For Shrimp Cakes, in large plastic resealable bag, pour Caribbean

      Jerk Marinade With Papaya Juice over shrimp; turn to coat. Close bag

      and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes.

      2. Remove shrimp from Marinade, discarding Marinade. Grill or broil

      shrimp, turning once, 4 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Let cool,

      then coarsley chop.

      3. In large bowl, combine shrimp, red pepper, eggs, green onions,

      1/4 cup Mayonnaise, 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt and 2/3 to 1 cup bread

      crumbs to get shaping consistency. Cover and chill 30 minutes.

      4. Meanwhile, for Creamy Citrus Aioli, in medium bowl, combine

      remaining 1 cup Mayonnaise, remaining 1/2 teaspoon Garlic Salt juices

      and orange peel; chill until ready to use.

      5. Using 1/3-cup measure, form shrimp mixture into patties. Coat

      patties in remaining 1/2 cup bread crumbs. In 12-inch nonstick

      skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook shrimp cakes, turning

      once, 5 minutes or until heated through and golden brown. Serve with

      Creamy Citrus Aioli.


      New Twists on Family Favorites:

      Serve pizza for breakfast! Scramble eggs with your favorite veggies

      (tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, broccoli) then arrange on a pre-

      baked pizza crust. Top with shredded cheese and bake until cheese


      Sprinkle salads with fun. Trade croutons for more inventive options

      like fish-shaped crackers or pretzels, tortilla chips or toasted pita


      Make more than just potatoes. Add steamed carrots or cauliflower to

      mashed potatoes for a more flavorful side dish. If you’re roasting

      taters for dinner, add yams, carrots and/or parsnips for variety.

      Shake up breaded chicken. Before you coat chicken cutlets with bread

      crumbs, stir any of the following into the mix: parmesan cheese,

      chopped pecans, walnuts or lawry’s taco spices & seasonings

      get creative with ice cream cones. do you have waffle cones left over

      from the summer? fill with fresh chopped fruit such as grapes,

      strawberries, banana and apples. top with yogurt for a healthy,

      delicious snack.


      quick twist:

      when making spaghetti, swap noodles for polenta or sautéed broccoli


      when making quesadillas, add last night’s leftovers to the cheese


      when making sandwiches, trade sliced bread for tortillas or hot dog
