My first thought was to rent a pavilion at a localpark. We have a beautiful park here, surrounding a
lake, and it cost about $30 to rent the pavilion for a
4 hour period. Since it’s a covered area, it can beused rain or shine…and May is usually a wonderful
time of year. I know this because we’ve rented the
pavilion twice for my daughter’s birthday parties inMay.
A BBQ is relatively inexpensive (hot dogs, burgers,
chicken), and close family/friends may be willing tobring a dish (tossed salad, pasta salad, potato salad,
chips, brownies, cookies).
Good luck – and congrats!!!Hugs,
