Baby shower on a budget?

Hi there,

My first thought was to rent a pavilion at a local

park. We have a beautiful park here, surrounding a

lake, and it cost about $30 to rent the pavilion for a

4 hour period. Since it’s a covered area, it can be

used rain or shine…and May is usually a wonderful

time of year. I know this because we’ve rented the

pavilion twice for my daughter’s birthday parties in

May.

A BBQ is relatively inexpensive (hot dogs, burgers,

chicken), and close family/friends may be willing to

bring a dish (tossed salad, pasta salad, potato salad,

chips, brownies, cookies).
