These are so cute, to make them you need one diaper,a baby washcloth, some tulle, some ribbon pieces, and a chenille stem.
Fold the chenille stem in half and curl the ends.
Then, roll up the baby washcloth up and slip the stem folded in half sticking out the top of the washcloth use four small pieces of ribbon tying them around the washcloth to keep it all secured, and take a long piece of ribbon to tie around the diaper to keep the washcloth (the butterfly’s ‘body’) in place.
A small piece of tulle is just gently tucked underneath the washcloth ‘body’,(no glue or tape is used at all) this way the new Mom can use both the diaper and the washcloth without having to remove glue or tape, etc. Aren’t they adorable!?!
These baby shower butterflies were created by owner of Diaper Cakes by Wendy Hatfield & Photo credit goes to her as well!
