This recipe is a wee bit different from the others posted, hence, I call it —
Artichoke Dip II
14-can artichoke hearts, drained
2 tbs finely chopped onion
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 to 1 1/2 tbs lemon juice
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper, or to taste
4 slices bacon, cooked, drained, crumbled
salt and pepper, to taste
Drain and mash the artichoke hearts. Combine well with the onion, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and cayenne. Add the crumbled bacon to the artichoke mixture.
Taste and add salt and pepper as desired. Chill before serving. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
