Apple Ice 1 cup Jonathan or Granny Smith apples, peeled and chopped 1/4 cup water 1/4 cup sugar 1/8 tsp lemon zest 1/8 tsp orange zest Combine first 3 ingredients in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and cook for 6-8 minutes, or until tender. Transfer mixture to a blender or food processor. Add zests. Puree. Pour mixture into an 8-in pan. Cover and freeze for 6 hours, or overnight. Let soften slightly (for about 5-10 minutes) before serving.
