A few years ago DH and I along with 2 kids were without health
insurance. DH made $11 a month too much money to qualify for state
assistance. I was attending college and found health insurance for
the family for something like $110 a month that covered any
hospitalization up to $50,000 and paid up to $30 for doctors visits.
It was not the best insurance in the world but was much better than
receiving the 1 bill I got when my son had to visit the hospital with
a fever seizure…it was $1800 which would have been covered with
this small plan. As a freelance writer you may find it handy to keep
up with your education and find cheaper insurance in the long run.
My college only required 1 class which could have been gym for all
they cared. Kim in MI
