Can someone tell me why I sent this on Friday 6/16 and it is just now

getting to the group on Thursday 6/22?

      Am I missing something?

My personal preference is an upright.

We have 2 chest freezer and 1 upright. I use the upright for the house. When

I do OMAC I give some to my husband to put in the chest freezers, I put what

I want in the next 30 days in the upright.

He is a hunter and we raise our own meat, veggies, etc.

It is too hard for me to lift the baskets to get to what is in the bottom of

the chest. That’s his job. I would end up forgetting what’s in there and

losing food. He keeps it rotating for me.

I’ve heard people say that you can get more in the chest, but for me, I

would be wasting food by forgetting what’s on the bottom.

In order to reduce our food budget, we are going to buy a freezer for

our basement. We figured if we saved $150-200 a month in food by

buying in bulk, making ahead, taking advantage of sales, and planning

ahead, we’d recoup that money in only 1-2 months.

Does anyone have any recommendations for freezers? Upright vs. chest?

Brands to choose/stay away from? Does it pay to get the frost-free

      feature?

      Thanks in advance!
