I can’t say I really have a plan LOL. I buy only what is on sale and I
stockpile, so I usually have a variety of food items stored. I usually cook on
weekends for the entire week because I work full time and have a long commute.
Cooking something big on the weekend helps — a ham, a turkey, a pork roast. All
scraps are saved and then I make a stock on Saturday and use that as either
soup or to add flavor to mashed potatoes or pasta (saving milk for drinking).
