Our most frequently asked technical question is, “Why can’t I pin from your site?” We actually do have a pinterest button on every single one of our articles, it’s located in the line of social media icons directly under the recipe title.
We don’t, however, offer a pin button in the forums. This is mainly due to the fact that the forums contain few photographs and pinning is meant to include a photo.
That’s right, you can literally add the pinterest browser button to your browser yourself and pin any page you like any time you want whether the site has specially coded a pinterest button for you or not.
To Install the Pinterest Button in Mozilla Firefox:- Visit the browser button page at pinterest
- click on get our browser button
- click install
restart your browser. once it’s been installed you simply click on the red pinterest icon that appears on the top of your browser whenever you want to pin something from a page you’re on.
visit pinterest’s browser button page and click on get out browser button. it will pop up a prompt asking you to confirm your request to install. choose yes.
one you install it, each time you mouse over an image, a pin it button will automagically appear. simply click on it to pin.
- Visit the browser button page at pinterest
- click on get our browser button
- click run on the yellow banner that pops up in the bottom of your browser.
- it’ll likely force you to close any other running applications before you can install it.
- click install
after it’s been installed, right click with your mouse on the top of the ie window and look to see if the command option has a checkmark beside it, if it doesn’t you’ll need to check this option. now that it’s installed, just click the pinterest icon at the top of your browser on any page whenever you find something you want to pin.
want to see what it should look like in your browser? click here.

here’s the fix for that issue. install the pinterest button as listed in the first post of this thread.
to pin something in your fb feed, click on the item to open it in it’s own window. then click pin- before you click the submit button, hold down ctrl-f5 at the same time.
issue solved. you’ll have to do this for every fb pin to avoid the awww snap error.
