first, rinse often with peroxide. An abscess is an infection, and this will
help. Several years back I went through the same thing…..no insurance, no
money, no way to see a dentist. I will tell you everything I did, but of
course I am not recommending it, but it did work for me.
I rinsed probably 10 times daily with peroxide. I drank only warm tea and
water, nothing too hot and nothing cold. Clove oil helps with the pain, as
did double doses of aspirin….plain old aspirin. As the warmth and
peroxide brought the abscess to a larger bump, I actually pushed against it
with my finger. Hurt like crazy, but alot of the fluid, blood and pus came
out. It lessened the pressure and the pain tremendously. When I took the
aspirin, I found that following that up with an antiseptic mouthwash held in
over the spot, a mouthful, held for at least five minutes, really numbed the
area up and gave the aspirin a chance to kick in. I had antibiotics in the
house, because I took tetracycline around my period to help with breakouts.
I used that, double doses for a week. It cleared it up, along with the
other things. Like I said, I am only telling you what worked for me, I
don’t recommend it. If there is a dental school anywhere nearby, call them.
Many have a sliding fee and can help you. I’ve been there, it really
smarts. Sending good thoughts to you!
