On the trip we took two years ago, we stopped at Sam’s Club for pizza. The Kroger affiliate my son works for has fried chicken in the deli for significantly less than KFC. Super Walmarts have pre-made, foot-long sub sandwiches for around $3.00 a piece.

We save on vacation food costs by going to the grocery store when weSome days are spent entirely in the car driving. We often will stopfor one big meal at the grocery store. Many grocery stores have theready to serve chickens. Then we will buy a side such as mashedpotatoes. We buy one of the complete salad mixes and a package ofpre-washed baby carrots. This makes a great meal for much less than arestaurant would cost. We always take paper plates and plasticutensils. We always a cooler stocked with drinks and snacks.Carrie
