- 16′ Cattle Panels (Tractor Supply) โ $20 each
- 2″x4″x16′ pressure-treated lumber (Top & Bottom Rails) โ $6.75 each
- 1″x4″x16′ boards (to frame the panels) โ $9.28 each
- 4×4 or metal Fence Posts (1 per panel or every 8โ) โ price varies

๐ ๏ธ Step-by-Step Instructions
- Measure & Plan: Decide how long your fence will be and space fence posts every 8 or 16 feet depending on the level of support needed.
- Install Posts: Set your fence posts in concrete if needed. For cattle or livestock fencing, this is highly recommended.
- Create the Base Frame:
- Attach a 2″x4″x16′ along the ground between two posts (this becomes the bottom rail).
- Add another 2″x4″ across the top to complete the base frame.
- Build Panel Frames:
- Use 1″x4″ boards to frame the cattle panel sections on both sides.
- Lay the cattle panel flat and sandwich it between the 1″x4″s (front and back), then screw or nail the boards together to secure the wire inside.
- Attach Framed Panels to Posts:
- Stand the framed cattle panel upright and position it tightly against your posts and rails.
- Secure the panel into place with long wood screws or metal fasteners.
- Repeat: Continue the process across the desired fence line, spacing posts and attaching panels.
