      NO! Some insurance companies will surcharge that claim against the

      homeowner although the payout will be $0.

      Please, Iisten to me. I’m an insurance agent. I’ve been an

      underwriter, risk manager, in customer service, a coach, and now I’m a

      quality supervisor. I’ve got licenses in almost every state. Do not

      file a homeowner’s claim. In any case, if their tree fell on your

      house, they still wouldn’t be responsible. You would contact your

      homeowner’s insurance company.
