Find a problem with our site and we will pay you cash right away.
We are conducting a usability study for an on-line gift store.

As a part of this study, we would like you to browse our site and find as many flaws as you can. You can even place a test order. Once you’ve found something wrong, we want you e-mail us a small report (100-200 words is enough) detailing your experience.

Once we have received your feedback, we will pay you $10 via PayPal.

Just imagine if you were shopping around and placing a real order on our site and note all your emotions and actions.

We are interested in as much detail as possible, particularly the navigation and the checkout process.

We want your constructive criticism!

The more flaws you can find the better! It can be about any part of the site. ANYTHING AT ALL that you find worth mentioning. Whatever might turn you off as a shopper is worth noting!

Also, at the end of the study, up to 5 people who have submitted the most useful and insightful reports will receive an additional $200 bonus each.

How to participate in the study:

To browse the site and to place a test order, please make sure to follow this link — following that link activates the test mode.

If you found a problem with the site before placing an order (not a part of the checkout process), you can e-mail directly to survey@genericgifts.com without placing an order.

Once you are ready to place the order, use the following test credit card number: 4111 1111 1111 1111 with expiration 1206 and an optional card id 123.

Enter the following e-mail address at the checkout: testorder@genericgifts.com. Do not use your own e-mail address so that you do not get signed up for our newsletter.

Please use the real data for the rest of the fields at the checkout to preserve the authenticity of the ordering experience. This is the most important part. We need your feedback on the checkout process!

Your personal information will be permanently erased as soon as the study is over. It will not be sold or rented to other parties. It will not be kept by us. We will never use your personal information for any purposes!

At the end of the checkout process (once you have placed the test order), you will see the order number — a 6 digit number. Please write it down and send an e-mail to survey@genericgifts.com with your detailed report. Please make sure to include your order number in your e-mail. Also, please specify the e-mail address we should use for the PayPal transfer.

We will go over your feedback right away, and if everything looks legitimate, we will send you a payment.

Please note: we will reject meaningless reports like “Everything was fine.”
Generally, please do not try to cheat us with made-up reports and we will not cheat you with the payment.
