Candy Mold such as a peanut butter cup mold, or chocolate bon-bon mold, truffle cup mold, etc
Ingredients
12ozsemi-sweet chocolate Chips
3TbsSolid Vegetable Shortening
3ozpackage strawberry jelloor cherry jello
½cupboiling water
½cupcold water
1cupvodka
Instructions
Prepare the Edible Chocolate Shot Cups
In a medium-size microwave-safe bowl combine chocolate chips and solid shortening and microwave for 45 seconds, remove, stir, return to microwave for 30 seconds, remove stir. Repeat at 25-30 second intervals, just until the chocolate is melted.
12 oz semi-sweet chocolate Chips, 3 Tbs Solid Vegetable Shortening
Using a spoon or popsicle stick, spread the chocolate in a think layer in the plastic cups (or bowls) or candy molds.
Place these on a cookie sheet or tray and refrigerate while you prepare the jello shot.
Jello Shooter Filling
In a medium bowl dissolve the jello in 1/2 cup of hot water, then add 1/2 cup cold water. Stir in 1 cup vodka.
3 oz package strawberry jello, ½ cup boiling water, ½ cup cold water, 1 cup vodka
Let cool a few minutes. Fill the chilled chocolate cups with the jello mixture.
Chilling Time
Return to the fridge until solid (about 2 hours).
Gently pop the shot out of the mold or plastic cup to remove.
Notes
If you don't have a candy mold, as an alternative, you could use a small (flexible) plastic bowl, then pop it out when solid and cut into chunks.
