    Default How to Substitute Cream Of Tartar

    If your in the middle of a recipe and discover you're out of cream of tartar, you can use lemon juice or vinegar in its place.

    You'll need to use 3x's a much.

    If you need 1 tsp cream of tartar, you'll need to use 1 T. Vinegar.

    You're welcome! I don't know how many times I've been in the middle of a recipe and ran to the puter and typed in the Budget101 search for a substitute. It's so much faster than looking through 40 cookbooks, lol.
