1/2 C. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 t. baking powder
1/2 t. salt
1/4 C. soft butter
1/2 C. sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 t. vanilla
1 1/2 squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 C. chopped nuts

Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Cream butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla, using electric mixer. Add chocolate, flour mixture and nuts. Mix thoroughly.


Drop by teaspoonfuls, one inch apart, on a greased cookie sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 F. oven for 12 minutes.

Yield: 2 1/2 dozen cookies.
