Re: Leaves of 3, Let it Be . .
hydrogen peroxide works very well for me... dries blisters out and eases the itching quite a bit... just spray or dump on ... my go-to for misery relief

Thank you for this information, currently have a case of poison ivy, after thinking in was ever so careful, realized my sister who is NOT allergo had thrown down the shovel so I think that is how I gotnit, will scrub all implements tomor row with Dawn. The hot water worked best for me. I didn't have it badly enough for a steroid shot which my doctor has given me before along with a 28 day regimen of 10mg prednisone. Now, HE aagrees with me that it gets in your blood stream. Why? Because he suffers from it too and TRULY believes it does. I also didn't think about changing my sheets, so am doing that right now and my bath scrubbers are going in the trash too. I hate this stuff.

There is a homeopathic PREVENTATIVE for poison ivy called Oral Ivy. Like the name suggests, you take drops orally. I start taking it the first of February and through November-December. Start SMALLER than the dosage recommendation or risk a self inflicted rash. I start with 1 drop a day for a week, then 2 drops a day for a week, finally I never get above 3 drops (sometimes, 4 by accident). Only once did I take the full dose...guess what I got!
