    Default Chocolate Covered Dried Fruit

In the past for a special treat, I have bought chocolate covered dried fruit. I really want to try and make my own but my attempts at drying the fruit have ended up the wrong consistancy for this application. My fruit always ends up paper thin. I've tried cutting them into quarter and half inch slices but am still having problems making it work. I have rest of it figured out. Any ideas?

If you are trying to duplicate store-bought products you may have a problem since they are prepared differently than home drying in a dehydrator and you probably won't be able to duplicate it.

What fruits are you working with?
I used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.

Strawberries are my real problem. They seem to be more of a leather. They're still delicious just not the texture I want for this application.
