My son recently had surgery on his ankle. The amount of money we spent on store bought ice packs was rediculous. I'm going to make several of these so the next time I ned an ice pack it will cost almost nothing. Thanks so much for sharing this money saving tip.

I have made these and they are wonderful. I keep 3 in the freezer at all times of different sizes. I also keep a shoe box with more stored in it in case I need them for picnics etc.

This sounds like a great idea. Would I be able to add food coloring to them?

As a physical therapist we tell people about these all the time. We usually do 2 parts water to 1 part rubbing alcohol. It depends on how firm you like them, more alcohol, less firm. Be sure you use a layer of cloth between skin and pack!
