I am looking for a recipe to make my own Spanish rice. I am trying to do anything and everything to save money and cut back on package foods.

Re: Spanish rice
Here is a simple recipe:
1 1/4 cups white rice, uncooked
1 3/4 cups water
3/4 cup tomato sauce
1/2 green pepper, chopped
1/2 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp cayenne
Place all ingredients in covered saucepan over medium-high heat until the mixture bubbles. Stir and reduce heat. Cook 10-12 minutes, covered. Stir once or twice during cooking to keep the rice from sticking.
Yield: 3 cupsI used to eat a lot of natural foods until I learned that most people die of natural causes.
