    Copycat Wendys Chili

    * 2 lbs ground beef
    * 1 (29 ounce) can tomato sauce
    * 1 (29 ounce) can kidney beans (with liquid)
    * 1 (29 ounce) can pinto beans (with liquid)
    * 1 cup diced onion (, 1 medium onion)
    * 1/2 cup diced green chili pepper (, 2 chilies)
    * 1/4 cup diced celery (, 1 stalk)
    * 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
    * 2-3 teaspoons cumin powder
    * 3 tablespoons chili powder
    * 1 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
    * 2 teaspoons salt
    * 2 cups water


    Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat.
    Drain off the fat.
    In a large pot, combine the beef plus all the remaining ingredients, and bring to a simmer over low heat.
    Cook, stirring every 15 minutes, for 2 to 3 hours.

    Red Lobster Biscuits


    2 ½ cups Bisquick baking mix
    ¾ cup cold whole milk
    4 tablespoons cold butter (1/2 stick)
    ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
    1 heaping cup grated cheddar cheese

    Brush on Top:

    2 tablespoons butter, melted
    ¼ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
    ½ teaspoon garlic powder
    pinch salt


    1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

    2. Combine Bisquick with cold butter in a medium bowl using a pastry cutter or a large fork. You don't want to mix too thoroughly. There should be small chunks of butter in there that are about the size of peas. Add cheddar cheese, milk, and ¼ teaspoon garlic. Mix by hand until combined, but don't over mix.

    3. Drop approximately ¼-cup portions of the dough onto an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop.

    4. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.

    5. When you take the biscuits out of the oven, melt 2 tablespoons butter is a small bowl in your microwave. Stir in ½ teaspoon garlic powder and the dried parsley flakes. Use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Use up all of the butter. Makes one dozen biscuits.

    I don't know what Red Lobster's Coconut Shrimp is like but here is a Coconut Shrimp Recipe for you.

    Coconut-Beer Shrimp

    1 pound medium-size fresh Shrimp
    2 1/4 teaspoons Red Pepper
    1 1/8 teaspoons Salt
    1 teaspoon Pepper
    3/4 teaspoon Paprika
    1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
    1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
    1/2 teaspoon ground Thyme
    1/2 teaspoon ground Oregano
    3/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons Flour
    1/4 cup plus 2 Tablespoons Beer
    1 Egg, beaten
    1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
    1 (7 ounce) package Flaked Coconut
    Vegetable Oil

    Peel and devein shrimp, leaving tails on; rinse well, and set aside.

    Combine seasonings in a small bowl, mixing well; set aside. Combine flour, beer, egg and baking powder in a medium bowl; mix well.

    Dip shrimp into seasoning mixture; shake off excess mixture. Dip seasoned shrimp into beer batter; dredge batter-coated shrimp in coconut. Fry shrimp, 5 or 6 at a time, in deep, hot oil (350 degrees F) about 45 seconds on each side or until shrimp is golden brown. Drain shrimp on paper towels, and serve immediately.

    Spicy Orange Dip (for Coconut Shrimp):

    1 (10 ounce) jar Orange Marmalade
    3 Tablespoons prepared Horseradish
    3 Tablespoons Spicy Brown Mustard
    1/2 teaspoon Grated Lemon Rind

    Combine all ingredients in a small bowl; mix well.
