Make $6 at CVS after Extra Bucks
I am a day late posting this so you won't be able to make quite as much money off it since the CVS $3 off $15 purchase coupon expired yesterday. I just learned about this forum though so I will be posting more often from now on. (I made $9)
THIS WILL TAKE 3 TRANSACTIONS TO COMPLETE BUT CASHIERS USUALLY WILL NOT MIND RINGING EACH UP SEPERATELY SO YOU CAN USE YOUR EXTRA BUCKS FROM ONE DEAL TOWARDS THE PURCHASE OF YOUR NEXT DEAL!!!
Right now if you buy 2 bottles of 100 count Excedrin (on sale for $6.99) you will get $10 Extra Bucks back. There was a $3 off coupon and a $2 off coupon in the paper a few weeks ago (sorry I don't remember which week). Also if you buy Maybelline eye shadow for $5.49 you will get $5.49 Extra Bucks back (you get do this 3 times) and there was a $1 off coupon for this a few weeks ago. And if you buy Fructis shampoo or conditioner for $3.99 you will get $3.99 Extra Bucks back and there was 1 $1 off coupon in the Feb 3rd paper.
1st transaction... buy 2 bottles of excedrin and the total comes to $13.98, use two $3 off coupons and the total will be $7.98 that you have to pay out of pocket (unless you have Extra Bucks from another purchase). Then you will get $10 Extra Bucks back.
***Buy the Excedrin first because you do not have to pay tax on medicine. And you also don't pay tax when you use Extra Bucks even if it is a taxable item.
2nd transaction... buy 2 Maybelline eyeshadow kits (3 colors in each kit) at $5.49 each and that comes to $10.98. And use the $1 off coupon (use 2 of them if you have 2). Then buy Fructis shampoo and use the $1 off coupon. This will make the total $11.97 and you can use your $10 Extra Bucks from the first transaction and you will pay $1.97 plus tax (each state will have different tax rates). You will get $10.98 Extra Bucks back from the Maybelline and $3.99 Extra Bucks back from the Fructis.
3rd transaction... buy 1 more Maybelline eyeshadow kit and use another $1 off coupon if you have it (I am good about asking everyone I know to give me coupons that they aren't going to use). The total will be $4.49+tax and you can use the $3.99 Extra Buck from the Fructis and your total will be 50 cents +tax and you will get back $5.49 Extra Bucks.
It helps to have already gotten Extra Bucks from prior weeks so you don't have to use money out of pocket, but once you get started, you will have them to use on next week's deals.
So out of pocket if you are new to this will be $10.45 and a little tax and you will have Extra Bucks in the amount of $5.49 and $10.98 when you are done. Thus making about $6
I have been doing deals like this for about a month now and have made so much money along with getting a TON of free items.

Re: Make $6 at CVS after Extra Bucks
'Thanks for all your helpful posts. I have a question though. I just joined CVS extra bucks and was under the impression that the extra bucks only print out after every 3 months, or is it after you have started buying with it, 3 months from then?

Re: Make $6 at CVS after Extra Bucks
There are 2 types of Extra Bucks. One you get 2% of all your purchases back in Extra Bucks (see other post for coupon to get 6% back). Then there are also deals that you can get immediate Extra Bucks on. These are just deals that as soon as you buy them, it will print at the bottom of your receipt.
Hope that helps
