    Post Spaghettini with Tomato Puree

    Spaghettini with Tomato Puree
    2 3/4 lb tomatoes, peeled (can use canned)
    1/3 cup olive oil
    1 tbs basil
    1 garlic clove, pressed
    1/4 tsp marjoram
    pepper to taste
    salt to taste
    1 lb pkg spaghettini
    Halve the tomatoes, push out the seeds, and squeeze out as much fluid as possible. Puree the flesh in a food processor or blender. In a serving bowl, combine the pureed tomato with the other sauce ingredients. add salt. Cook the pasta accordint to directions. Drain the pasta and toss with the sauce in the bowl. Serve immediately. 4 servings = about 690 calories.
