Spaghetti Puttanesca- Dirt Cheap Dinners

Spaghetti Puttanesca 1/4 cup black olives, sliced 2 1/2 lb tomatoes (can use canned), coarsely chopped 1/2 cup olive oil 2 garlic cloves, chopped 1 tbs basil 1 tsp parsley 1 tbs capers pinch red pepper flakes salt to taste

    Spaghetti Puttanesca
    1/4 cup black olives, sliced
    2 1/2 lb tomatoes (can use canned), coarsely chopped
    1/2 cup olive oil
    2 garlic cloves, chopped
    1 tbs basil
    1 tsp parsley
    1 tbs capers
    pinch red pepper flakes
    salt to taste
    1 lb pkg spaghetti
    Place the all ingredients except spaghetti in a serving bowl and mix well. Let the sauce marinate for at least 1 hour at room tmeperature to give the flavors time to develop or cover and chill in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Cook the spaghetti according to directions. Drain and add to the bowl with the sauce, tossing thoroughly. Serve at room temperature. 4 servings = about 775 calories.
