    Default Easy Cinnamon Biscuits

    Easy Cinnamon Biscuits
    1/4 cup sugar
    1/4 cup chopped pecans
    1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 cups biscuit mix (your own or Bisquick, etc.)
    1/2 cup cold water

3 tbs butter or margarine, melted
In a small bowl mix sugar, pecans and cinnamon and set aside. Prepare mix (according to package directions if not using your own), using the cold water for liquid. Shape mixture into a ball and place on a sheet of lightly floured waxed paper. Press down slightly, then cut in 12 equal wedges. Shape each in ball, roll in melted butter, then in cinnamon, sugar, and pecan mixture. Arrange dough balls in 8-inch round layer-cake pan, pressing down slightly. Bake in preheated 400 oven for 15 minutes, or until lightly browned.
    Serve cinnamon biscuits warm.

I'm definately going to be trying it. My son lives on these, but it has to been the cheap store kind--he hates the Pillsbury one, can't blame. Plus I don't like their prices!!

Jsquarad, this would be a good breakfast item for your family! just double it and serve with a big old bowl of fruit, coffee, tea, juice, and they can help themselves!

Karen, can you get the 'Jiffy' brand in Bermuda? I make my own biscuit mix (posted a couple of different versions here if anyone wants to do a search), but when I see a sale for Jiffy -- 4/$1 -- I'll buy them as a back-up. so when I use up my mix and failed to make another batch before I make biscuits, I just grab the box. maybe your son would like that?
