    Star Sausage and Egg Casserole

    Sausage and Egg Casserole
    6 slices bread, cubed
    1 pound sausage, browned, drained
1 1/2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
    8 eggs, beaten
    2 cups milk
    1 ts[, salt

    pepper to taste
Place bread evenly in greased 9x13 pan or baking dish. Sprinkle evenly with sausage and cheese. Mix eggs, milk, salt and pepper. Pour over ingredients in pan. May cover and chill overnight. (if left overnight, remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before baking). Bake 45 minutes at 325 degrees or until set. Cut into squares to serve. Serves 8 to 10.
this is great around the holidays when you have extra people visiting or portion up to the fridge and you have breakfast during the week

you can make it the night before and stick in the fridge, just let it warm up some before putting in the oven or the baking time will be off freezing would not be good either, I've tried...it gets kinda rubbery;-\

this makes 6-8 servings, depending on if there's anything on the side like potatoes or fruit. you could possibly stretch it a bit farther, if you serve up something inexpensive like 'Country Taters' on the side that would fill 'em up! so whip up two batches and make taters! LOL!
