Just wondering...after the 15 minutes, do we wipe it off or rinse it off? Moisturize afterwards?

Homemade Greek Yogurt is a snap to make all you need is a crockpot, 1 gallon of milk, 1 cup of yogurt for cultures, pectin or plain gelatin , cheesecloth to strain. Heat milk in crockpot on low for 2 hours. Turn off mix in cup of yogurt and gelatin put in a warm area and wrap with a towel or cover with a heat insulating bag overnight or about 8 hours. Strain with cheesecloth to desired consistency. Add fruit enjoy

I just started washing my face with, of all things, oil (vitamin E). I am going to try this recipe as a masque before bed! Thanks for posting! I also make yogurt at home... Heat your milk to 185degrees and keep it at that temp for 5 minutes. then let it cool to 120 to 115 degrees. Mix in 1 cup of your starter yogurt and 1/2 cup of powdered milk. I place mine in mason jars with the cap on. wrap each jar in a tea towel and place in the oven. Put the oven light on and leave overnight up to 12 hours. the longer it stays in the oven the thicker it will be. I don't strain mine.

I think of my yogurt as 'scientific method' as opposed to a recipe

I use 6 cups of milk (2%) plus 1/2 cup of powdered milk.
    Heat to 180 - 185 degrees
Let the milk cool to 115 - 120 degrees.
Stir in 1 cup of greek yogurt (really important to have 'live cultures')

I place the mixture into 3 mason jars, cap them and wrap individually in a tea towel. I heat my oven to the lowest setting (mine is 200 degrees) and shut it off. Wait 5 minutes... then put the jars in the oven with the light on. Leave them for 8 to 12 hours. Then put them in the fridge for a few hours to chill.

The longer you leave the yogurt in the oven, the more tart it will be.

I use the powdered milk to make the yogurt thick like sour cream. I use it as a substitute to sour cream.

    Mix-in Ideas for single servings:
    Fruit - of course
    Jam
Cocoa powder and powdered sugar (excellent chocolate flavor)
    Lemon curd

Go crazy with making great flavors - but I only do it with single servings.

Vitamin E oil is good stuff. Both of my kids were over 10 pounds and I bought the highest E concentrate I could find and rub it on daily - not a single stretch Mark!
