Stocking the Italian Kitchen (Must-Haves)
In the Pantry:
> Olive Oil
In the Fridge:
> Alfredo Sauce
> Pine Nuts
> Fresh Pasta
> Bell Peppers
Classic Italian Dishes:
Antipasti: plate of assorted cheeses, smoked meats, olives, fish and marinated vegetables served as an appetizer.
Cannoli: deep-fried pastry tubes filled with sweetened ricotta cheese.
Fettuccine Alfredo: pasta tossed with rich sauce of butter, cream and Parmesan cheese.
Gnocchi: small boiled dumplings served with butter & Parmesan cheese or a savory sauce.
Pesto Sauce: fresh basil, olive oil, garlic, Parmesan cheese & pine nuts.
Risotto: creamy arborio rice dish that can be flavored with a variety of ingredients.
Spaghetti Carbonara: pasta tossed with sauce of cream, eggs, Parmesan cheese & bacon bits.
Tiramisł: layered dessert of ladyfingers dipped in a coffee-Marsala mixture, mascarpone cheese and grated chocolate.
