    Default Freezing Cooked Bacon

I have some bacon in the frig that I know I wont use for a while. Has anyone had luck in freezing cooked bacon? And if so, how did you store it?

Thanks in advance for your input. You're all wonderful!

No problems with freezing bacon. Cook it up and crumble, freeze it in a sealed bag then thaw out and it will be great on salads or mixing in cooked foods. Make sure it is an airtight bag or container you put it in or it will be a little tough when you thaw it and use it. I don't reheat, just let it thaw in the fridge and it tastes the same as any bacon you cooked and put in the fridge to use the next day. Hope this helps

I've frozen my leftover bacon for over 30 years! I throw it in to sandwich bags and toss into the freezer. I use it in salads, omelets, stir fries, ect. I never thaw mine ahead of time just pull crumble and toss it in. Works great! We use it a lot!

Thanks all. I thought I could, but I was almost afraid to ask such a simple question. You guys are great! And thanks Kim for letting me know how to reuse it...that would have been my next question LOL
