    Info The BEST Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich

    The BEST Grilled Ham and Cheese Sandwich
    2 tbs mayonnaise
    2 tbsParmesan
    8 slices cracked wheat or sourdough bread
    4 slices leftover ham, large enough to fit the bread (or you can go to the deli)
    4 slices Gruyere or Swiss cheese
    1/2 cup roasted red pepper strips, drained

    1/2 cup baby spinach leaves
    2 tbs butter, softened
    In small bowl combine mayonnaise and Parmesan and mix well. Spread on one side of each piece of bread. Make sandwiches with the coated bread, Gruyere cheese, ham, the red pepper strips, and baby spinach. Spread outside of sandwiches with the softened butter. Grill sandwiches on dual contact indoor grill or panini grill or griddle until toasted and crisp. Serves 4

    I roasted some peppers drizzled with olive oil on the grill to go with Fajitas and they were to die for! I had left over grilled chicken but no left over peppers! Bet they'd be awesome on these grilled ham & cheese sandwiches! Got a couple left over peppers so will try it tomorrow. Just made bread and got left over deli meats so will make a good Sunday late dinner.

    This sounds so good!!!! I saved it in myfavorites. I love making "fancy" sandwiches.

    ooh...the grilled peppers idea sounds yummy! I shoulda mentioned that if you use deli meats, you might want to use a couple of slices. thin or shredded just isn't good enough -- gotta have something to SINK your teeth into! LOL!
    I love making 'hot' sandwiches. I'm always trying to come up with a tasty combination
