Default CBS - How to save on gift cards

    Hi

I am not sure where to post this...

A saw this website on our local CBS station and wanted to share it with everyone.

A little over a week ago CBS aired a story that just sounded too good to be true so I had to check it out for myself. It's an auction site and they auction all types of gift cards.... eg Kroger, Target, Wal-Mart, TGI Friday’s, Coach, Best Buy, Ulta etc.

Here is how it works. You buy credits. It costs 3 credits to join an auction (approx. $3 win or lose). But there is no cost to bid, and the bids only increase by a penny at a time to ensure the cards sale price stays low!

Once you win, you claim your prize and it comes in the mail. So my deal worked out like this -

    Auction Credits Used - $3.00
Winning Price of Card - Winning Price of Card - $0.10.10

    Certified Shipping - $4.99
TOTAL COST $8.09 for a $50 Target Gift Card

Here is the site : dfwbid.com

Okay Looney or Jamie, if your bidding on item how long usually does it take to win...i mean yeah it's a great deal but ummm it looks to be an all day deal with a penny here a penny there.
I can see where the person is making the money to run this. $3 a pop $6 etc....IDK i am bidding on a card right now, yes it does cost $3 to bid..win or loose. its $3. Then if you want in on a different card you then buy credits,$3 again.
I'll keep ya posted on this...wish i knew if it was like gunna be 5 or 10 hours from now...wow i really have things to do..LOL

Okay so i am still bidding...24 hours later..YES the site does shut down at 9 maybe its 10pm.But it still shut down then starts back up in the morning.

All cards have a $50 value.Currently i am up to 22.00, which is still okay.

I have no clue how she got a card for .10 cent
None of these cards close at nothing less then 20-25.00.

Some...yes they have closed at a penny deal.

But i have not seen the penny deal lite up since i have been on here!
Granted ..i guess...for the penny deal you have to answer a question and get it right.

HMMmmm..i guess they got $3 on me.Because i'm not sitting all nite on that site.
IDK..you make your on decision on this site..is it worth $3 to sit and bid on a $50 card for 20-25 maybe even 30 then pay shipping 4.99.*for 2 or 3 days..yes days...not hours!!!

    Okay...heres the deal.
    I was bidding..bidding..bidding etc.
and POOFED someone at the same time i was bidding
won the bid for a penny.LOL

Mind you the Penny button wasnt lite up, and there was no questions to answer for this penny bid!

So, i guess it's like a game of luck?!?!
I will not be doing that again.
But good luck to the winners.

    Thanks for the post anyways,
call me silly..i'm always the 1st one to JUMP in!
