    Michelle:
We feed the deer just about 20 feet from my garden. I have some posts set
(not deep) in the garden and a rope strung between with disposalable pie tins
hanging from string so they move in the wind. Deer stay out of the garden, but
eat their corn we put out. Love to watch them. They are coming with the fawns
now and the bucks are growing their horns and are in velvet. We have seen as
high as 53 at one time in our back yard.
    Hope this helps you..

Yes, try this, works around here..Human hair; place on the ground around the
garden. Deer won't cross it; doesn't take much; line the boys up on the back
porch for a haircut or go to the beauty shop.. lol I've always heard deer
    hate the smell of humans; this sure bears that out..It's free;
environmentally friendly, and you won't even notice it

My daddy puts a radio in his garden and plays it at night on some kind of a
    talk show. No deer problems.

Where in Michigan do you live? We live on torchlake in northwestern michigan.
It is near Traverse city. We have a few deer that come out of the woods.
Does that bring their fawns. Never seen a big buck in our yard. Just button
bucks. We feed them small amounts. We have feed restrictions here so we only
put out a couple of cups at a time.

I live outside of Coldwater. Just north of the Indiana state line along I69.

We have been feeding them for months now and they know it is here every evening,
so they return daily. Some in the morning some evening. We also have salt block
out and a water tub, so they have everything they need in one stop.
We have a no hunt area on our property so they know they are safe.
Their bedding area is in the field just outside our yard.
