    Default Grilled Acorn Squash

    here's a baked squash recipe like you've never see or tasted before!
    Grilled Acorn Squash
    4 2-lb acorn squash
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    2 cups cooked crabmeat or use the 'fake'
    1 cup teriyaki sauce
    Rinse squash under cold water. Scrub with begetable brush. With apple corer, remove 1-inch plug from stem end of squash. Scrape out seeds with salted water. Repeat until all seeds are removed. Heat grill. Insert cheese, crabmeat and teriyaki sauce through hole into squash. Replace plug. Place squash on gas grill over medium heat or on charcoal grill 4 to 6 inches from medium coals. Cook 45 minutes until squash is tender. If baking, heat oven to 375 degrees. spray 13 X 9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. Bake squash 1 hour. 4 servings = about 485 calories.
    you can make this with other meat or fowl that you have on hand and need to use...just make sure that it is already cooked!!! OR make a dessert using 2 cups applesauce mixed with 1 cup brown sugar, 2 tbs softned butter and 1/2 tsp cinnamon!
