Default Day after Christmas - leftover ham recipe

    Ham Rolls -
these are great for breakfast, lunch or a snack. My hubbie & I love to do all types of appetizers and finger foods on New Years Eve - you know, just relax, watch football & snack all during the day. I think I'm gonna make these!

    Things You’ll Need:
3 packages of small rolls or biscuits
    3/4 pounds of Swiss cheese
1 1/2 pounds of ham very thinly sliced
    2 sticks of butter
    1 medium onion
    1 tsp Worchestershire Sauce
    3 tsp prepared mustard
    3 tsp poppy seeds

1.) Prepare Sauce: Chop onion into very small pieces. In a skillet melt the butter. Then add the chopped onions, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, and poppy seeds. Continue cooking until the onions are translucent and the sauce thickens.

2.) Step2 Slice the rolls through the middle. If you have biscuits - just open them up. Spread the warm prepared sauce on the bottom of the rolls. Then add the thinly sliced ham followed by the shredded Swiss cheese. (You can substitute another cheese of your choice if you would like to.)Cover with top of roll. Brush top very lightly with some of the sauce mixture

3.) Tightly wrap in aluminum foil. Bake in 350 degree preheated oven for 20 minutes.

4.) Serve hot. Can be frozen and then reheated for use later.

(You can also make these without onions if you don't like them.)

these sound great not only for family snacking but also party food, leftover ham doesn't last long at my house, think I'll slice some from our Christmas ham and hide the package way in the back of the freezer to have on hand for the next party or shower.
