Toddler Treats

This time of year, sticky sweet snacks are everywhere. Here are some healthy
and tasty options to tempt little hands.

Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Snacks
8 oz. organic cream cheese
? cups natural peanut butter
2 tb frozen orange juice concentrate
1 cup crushed shredded wheat

Put cream cheese, peanut butter and orange juice concentrate in the microwave
for a few seconds to soften.
Mix cream cheese, peanut butter, orange juice and shredded wheat
Form mixture into balls and refrigerate

Banana Nut Oaties
1 Banana
? Avocado
2 tsp honey*
? cup almonds - finely ground
? cup rolled oats

Peel and mash banana and avocado together
Add honey*, almonds and oats and stir
Form mixture into balls and refrigerate
*Never give honey to a baby under 1 year of age.

Baked Veggie Treats
1 cup cooked, mashed sweet potato
? cup cooked pureed spinach

1 egg
2 tbs milk
1 cup crushed whole wheat bread crumbs

Mix sweet potato, spinach, egg and milk
Form mixture into balls
Roll balls in crushed bread crumbs and place on cookie sheet
Bake until egg is thoroughly cooked
