Coconut Brownies
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 cup flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
1/2 -3/4 cup nutsTopping:
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 brown sugar
1 cup coconutMix butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add flour, baking powder, salt and nuts. Mix well.Pour into greased 8×8 pan and bake at 350° for 30 minutes or until done.
Mix topping ingredients and spread over baked brownies. Place under the broiler (3 inches from heat) to slightly brown coconut.

Adding almonds sounds really good. A little twist is great – I like changing recipes like this.
